Born in the state of Texas in 1971, Tempe Sikora began traveling at the age of 3 weeks, crossing country with her family to upstate New York. From the ages of 7 to 11 years, she found her identity as a world citizen. Her parents, educators and travel enthusiasts, moved the family first to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and then to Bangkok, Thailand, visiting Europe along the way back and forth. Tempe was exposed to diverse examples of both natural and cultural beauty, that continue to inspire her art and career.
After university on the East Coast, and ten years working in Marketing on the West Coast, Tempe's interest in sustainable living drew her to natural building and she eventually returned to Texas. She now lives and works out of Austin, though she travels to California and elsewhere in the U.S. to teach workshops and create art.
She is available for specialty natural plaster and paint application as well as custom European faux finishing. See resume for more details and links to portfolio examples.
